This is cheating a bit as this garden isn’t open to the public. One can only visit by special arrangement.
But, it’s a superb garden and had to be included.
I visited it with a group from the AHS (American horticultural Society)

The garden was designed by Arrabella Lenox Brown. The gardener showed the members the original plans that were used to lay out the garden and to refurbish it when necassary.
image 283 x 213There are two bridges over the moat leading to the house. One is festooned with clematis and has scented plants growing between the flag stones which give of scent when walked on.

The moat is filled by a spring that falls through a series of cascades.
